
A former Abia State Governor, Senator Orji Kalu, has said increased investment and stronger measures to tackle insecurity are essential to achieving sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
He also said that Nigeria is one, and that he will continue to pray and plead for the unity of this country until he dies.
Kalu stated this while receiving a souvenir from Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, at the end of his visit to the state, where he commissioned 10 road projects executed by the Aliyu administration in the Arkilla New Layout.
According to a statement issued by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto, Abubakar Bawa, Kalu said insecurity was hindering Nigeria’s quest for a stronger economy capable of improving the living conditions of citizens.
He advocated stringent measures to address the nation’s security challenges to achieve sustainable economic growth.
