
US-based Blessing Ogundinran has claimed the women’s 100 metres title at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games National Trials in Lagos, clocking 11.12 seconds in the final to emerge as Nigeria’s new national champion in the event, The PUNCH reports.
Ogundinran edged teenage sensation Miracle Ezechukwu, who pushed her all the way with a new personal best of 11.15 seconds to finish second, while Olajide Olayinka placed third in 11.28 seconds.
Speaking after the race, Ogundinran revealed that composure was the key to her victory after an arduous journey to Lagos.
