
The Federal Government has revealed that 63 of the 69 ambassadors appointed by President Bola Tinubu have received agréments from their host countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday after Sola Enikanolaiye, minister of state for foreign affairs, presented letters of credence to Nigeria’s ambassadors and high commissioners-designate to Trinidad and Tobago, Kenya, Equatorial Guinea and Egypt.
According to the ministry, the presentation followed confirmation from the host countries accepting the nominees as Nigeria’s principal diplomatic representatives.
The statement read: “The Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, presented Letters of Credence to the Ambassadors/High Commissioners Designate to Trinidad & Tobago, Kenya, Equatorial Guinea and Egypt on Monday 22nd June 2026.
“The presentation follows confirmation of receipt of Agrèment from the countries that they will serve as the principal envoys of Nigeria.
