The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that ongoing development projects across Abuja will continue regardless of political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Wike stated this on Tuesday during the flag-off of the construction of service carriageways of the Southern Parkway, from Arterial Road S20 (Oladipo Diya Way) to Ring Road II, as part of projects being inaugurated to mark President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office.
The minister said the administration remained focused on transforming the nation’s capital in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive.
“Today is our 10th day of commissioning projects, and today was specifically selected because so many people have been asking questions: ‘Are you saying that after commissioning these projects, now that we are going into politics, there will be no more projects to embark upon?’” Wike said.
