The Zamfara State Government has inaugurated an eight-member committee to investigate allegations of misconduct and insubordination leveled against the suspended Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Dr. Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi.
The panel, chaired by former Head of Service Mujtaba Isah, was inaugurated on Monday in Gusau by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abubakar Mohammed Nakwada.
Nakwada urged the committee to carry out its assignment with fairness and objectivity, stressing that its role was to establish facts rather than presume guilt or innocence.
He noted that the government would rely on the panel’s recommendations to strengthen governance, discipline, and accountability in state-owned tertiary institutions.
“The government expects the panel to identify institutional gaps and recommend practical measures that will enhance efficiency and accountability,” Nakwada said, directing all relevant parties to cooperate fully with the investigation.
