
The All Progressives Congress has expressed confidence in winning all elective positions in Saturday’s local government elections in Gombe State, as the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, endorsed its chairmanship and councillorship candidates.
Speaking on Wednesday during the presentation of party flags to APC candidates in Gombe, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya said the ruling party was poised for another electoral victory across the state’s 11 local government areas.
Yahaya said the APC remained the dominant political force in Gombe State and was determined to consolidate its hold on power through unity, performance and grassroots support.
“We are determined to repeat our electoral successes and retain all elective positions under the APC platform. Our strength lies in our unity, commitment and the confidence the people have in our leadership,” the governor said.
He noted that the party had continued to record electoral successes in the state and urged members to remain
