Former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, has raised an alarm over the security situation in the country after sharing a video of heavily armed bandits moving freely on a highway and casually greeting security personnel without any hindrance.
Dalung made the disclosure in a post on his Facebook page, where he uploaded a video capturing the incident.
The former minister described the scene as a heartbreaking reality that shows how deeply entrenched criminal activities have become in the country.
It comes against the backdrop of growing insecurity across the country, with one of the most disturbing incidents being the kidnapping of 39 schoolchildren and seven teachers from three schools in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, on May 15, during which a teacher lost his life.
