
There is simmering crisis in the Kebbi State chapter of the All Pensions Congress (APC) following the simultaneous suspension of top party executives and a sitting state commissioner.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the ruling party announced the suspension of its State Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana-Zuru, alongside the party chairman for the Zuru Local Government Area, Aliyu Abubakar Abiola.
According to a statement signed by the state APC Secretary, Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba, the drastic measures were taken over alleged violations of established party principles and procedures.
The party secretary explained that the decision was triggered by formal complaints lodged by key stakeholders within the Zuru Emirate. Highlighting the specific infractions that led to the disciplinary action, Kimba noted that the decision followed complaints over the “alleged lukewarm attitude of the affected officials towards party activities, inadequate engagement with critical stakeholders, poor mobilisation efforts and non-compliance with established party guidelines”.
