Greenplinth Africa Limited has reiterated its commitment its 80 million cookstoves initiative to deepen Nigeria’s clean energy adoption and promote economic inclusion on a massive scale for Nigerian households.
Babatunde Aina, the group financial officer, Greenplinth Africa Limited, said that the initiative was a transformative intervention capable of advancing climate action, improving public health, creating jobs and stimulating economic growth.
He added that the initiative seeks to promote clean energy adoption, healthier homes, women’s empowerment, climate responsibility and economic inclusion on a massive scale.
“This project is about replacing smoke with safety. It’s about replacing pollution with protection. It’s about replacing waste with value,” Aina said during a 2-day strategic project implementation management retreat and stakeholders engagement of the 80M Clean Cookstoves project in Nigeria.
