The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has berated the administration of President Bola Tinubu over remarks by Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, accusing the Government of being disconnected from the harsh economic realities confronting millions of Nigerians.

In a statement on Wednesday by Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC National Publicity Secretary, the opposition party described Onanuga’s comments as “insensitive” and reflective of what it called the prevailing mindset within the Tinubu administration.

Earlier on Wednesday, Onanuga reportedly stated that he did not see the level of hunger and hardship being widely reported across the country.

Reacting, the ADC said the comments amounted to a troubling admission that the government had lost touch with the daily struggles of ordinary citizens.
