The Bayelsa State Government-owned Niger Delta University has taken steps to deepen its collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force .
This follows a high-powered delegation visit by the university’s management, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Allen Agih, to the Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command, Air Vice Marshal Michael Onyebashi, in Yenagoa.
During the courtesy visit, the VC expressed appreciation to the Air Force for its support during the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation of NDU’s Department of Meteorology and Weather Forecasting.

“We appreciate particularly, the provision of access to meteorological facilities and equipment that contributed to the successful accreditation of the programme.” the vice chancellor added.
Both institutions explored strategic opportunities for collaboration in the areas of engineering, security studies, medicine, environmental science, meteorology, research, and student industrial training.
