Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has approved the appointment of new senior government aides and permanent secretaries to strengthen the state’s administration.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, include six Special Advisers, three Senior Special Assistants, and five Permanent Secretaries (one in an acting capacity).
According to a statement issued by the Director-General of Media and Publicity at the Government House, Sokoto, Abubakar Bawa, the newly appointed Special Advisers are:
Garba Muhammad Sabon Birni
Mukhtari Bello Abdurrahman
Shi’itu M. Bello
Alhaji Tukur Sanyinna
Alhaji Abdullahi Jabo
Mamman Aliyu Salisu
The governor also named the following as Senior Special Assistants:
Jummai Bello Kware
Nana Mamman Nasarawa
Hon. Emmanuel Ekereke
For the civil service, Buhari Umar, Abdullahi B. Muhammad, Musa Muhammad, and Jibril Sa’adu were appointed as Permanent Secretaries, while Aliyu Magaji was named Acting Permanent Secretary.
This latest round of appointments is expected to enhance governance and service delivery across various sectors in Sokoto State.
