Red Cross donates medical supplies to three Sokoto PHCs

The International Committee of the Red Cross, in collaboration with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Sokoto Branch, has donated essential medical supplies to three primary healthcare centres in Sokoto State to improve access to healthcare services at the community level.

The beneficiary facilities are Kofar Kade Primary Health Centre, Farfaru Primary Health Centre and Mabera Primary Health Centre.

At the handover ceremony on Friday, representatives of the ICRC and the NRCS formally presented the supplies to the management of the health facilities and community representatives.

Speaking during the event, the ICRC said the donation forms part of its ongoing humanitarian intervention aimed at strengthening primary healthcare delivery in the state.

“This support is only the beginning of continuous assistance. We will continue to work with the health facilities and communities through similar interventions to improve access to essential healthcare services,” the team said.
