Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Sunday declared his support for the Accord Party candidate for the House of Representatives in Osun State, Pelumi Olajengbesi, ahead of the 2027 election.
Olajengbesi is seeking to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the 2027 election.
Igboho, the founder of the Irun Ekun Security Network, which has a presence in some South-West states, made his position known when Olajengbesi paid him a visit at his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
A statement issued by Olajengbesi’s media office and forwarded to PUNCH Online in Ibadan, the state capital, said Igboho journeyed down memory lane and recounted how Olajengbesi offered him legal representation when the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari raided his Ibadan residence in July 2021, after which he fled to the Benin Republic and was detained.
