Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has indicated that the Deputy National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Zainab Ibrahim, may serve as his running mate in the 2027 governorship election.
Kefas made the disclosure on Friday at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo while hosting APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who was in the state to mark his 58th birthday.
During the protocol session, the governor referred to Ibrahim as the “future deputy governor of Taraba State.” Yilwatda also addressed her as the “incoming deputy governor.”
In his remarks, Kefas thanked the APC leadership for organising a statewide medical outreach as part of the birthday celebrations.
He noted that a team of doctors had been on the ground for days providing free treatment and surgeries, with impressive feedback from beneficiaries.
“For us in Taraba State, we are all for the APC to pay back what Mr President has done for us,”
