2027: NDC, Obidient Movement, push back at Ganduje over Obi – Kwankwaso “dead on arrival ticket” claim

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement have strongly pushed back against claims made by the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, regarding a potential Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket for the 2027 general elections.

While addressing journalists in Abuja, Ganduje dismissed the proposed NDC ticket as “dead on arrival,” particularly in Kano State. He questioned Peter Obi’s governance legacy as the former governor of Anambra State and pointed out that Kwankwaso failed to win consecutive back-to-back terms during his tenure as Kano State governor.

However, the opposition in a rebuttal statement immediately rejected his remarks, asserting that both leaders maintain stellar, verifiable public service records and extensive national followings capable of securing victory across Nigeria.

The opposition groups highlighted several points to counter the ruling party’s narrative.
