The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday said opposition should not wake up “one morning” and expect to produce Nigeria’s president in 2027.
Wike noted that producing Nigeria’s president is not by taking too much and making much noise.
He made the comments during the commissioning of water supply network to Bwari Satellite town of the FCT as part of projects to celebrate President Bola Tinubu’s third year anniversary in office as Nigeria’s president.
Wike noted that Tinubu and his followers are prepared for the antics of the opposition ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He said: “I have told people who say that they want to be in power, you have heard it, it’s not ‘chochocho.’ To be president is not chochocho, you don’t wake up early in the morning and say that you want to be president, no it doesn’t happen that way.
“So we are prepared, the president is prepared, and everybody who has what it takes,” Wike said.
The minister informed that Tuesday’s event marked the 50th project commissioning across the FCT since Tinubu assumed office as president.
He said: “Today is the 25th day of commissioning of projects to mark the third year anniversary of Mr President and it’s important for us to do this by letting people know, those that say they don’t have eyes let them know that something is happening in the Federal Capital Territory.
