The Independent National Electoral Commission has urged Nigerians who have moved to new locations to transfer their voter registration ahead of the closure of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise.
The commission introduced the portal after extending the nationwide CVR exercise by two weeks, moving the deadline from July 10 to July 24, 2026, to allow more eligible Nigerians to register ahead of future elections, PUNCH Online had earlier reported.
PUNCH Online reported that the electoral agency launched an online self-service portal that enables eligible Nigerians to register for a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), transfer their voting location, update their details and replace lost or damaged voter cards.
The platform, part of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, allows first-time voters to complete the entire registration process on their mobile phones, including biometric capture, without visiting an INEC office.
