AI to drive increased productivity in Nigeria’s real estate sector – Akintayo

Stephen Akintayo, the founder of Gtext Holdings, has urged professionals in the country’s real estate sector to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for increased productivity and analysis of customers’ need within the built environment.

According to him, the company is leveraging AI to increase productivity and analyse customers’ demand. He added that the real estate sector will be able to bridge the trust deficit in the market with stronger technology/digital adoption.

“By leveraging on AI, you can analyze what the customer wants, analyze what is working, what is not working, analyze the areas where you need to provide solutions for people,” Akintayo said during the Gtext Holdings 18th anniversary press conference held on the sideline of its Real Estate Developers and Investors Conference, in Lagos.

He disclosed that about 70 percent of GText communication and marketing materials are currently being designed by AI, which also creates opportunities for multi-tasking for employees. “I can say that we already have over 50 percent AI adoption with everybody that works in Gtext,” Akintayo said.

Speaking on the company’s growth trajectory, Akintayo said that GText Group is currently restructuring its business ecosystem to attract institutional investment in response to market realities. “It’s part of why we set up a company in a diversification phase. For the first seven years, we were more about broadcast and digital marketing.”
