The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has demanded the immediate suspension of Tijani Fatai, the Lagos State Commissionerof police, over alleged partisan conduct.
On Tuesday, the City Boy Movement inaugurated its Lagos chapter, pledging to mobilise youths and grassroots supporters for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 elections.
The event, held in Ikeja, the state capital, was attended by political leaders, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Viral videos circulating on social media show Fatai arriving at the event, where he exchanged pleasantries with members of the City Boy Movement.
Reacting in a post on X, the NDC described Fatai’s presence at the event as inappropriate and partisan.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the appearance of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani, at a partisan event promoting a particular candidate in the upcoming general election,”
