Kano Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commissioned the Kano State Centre for Disease Control (KNCDC) headquarters and inaugurated the Abba Care Sickle Cell Centre at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, describing the projects as significant milestones in his administration’s drive to strengthen healthcare delivery.
The governor also flagged off the distribution of 3,000 customised digital blood pressure monitors to senior public servants and political appointees, alongside maternal and neonatal health commodities, accident and emergency supplies, and 4,855 bedsheets for secondary healthcare facilities across the state.
Speaking during the ceremony, Yusuf said the initiatives reflected his administration’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, particularly for vulnerable residents.
