Farouk Mustapha Denies VP Slot Talks with Seyi Makinde

A former governorship aspirant in Bauchi State, Farouk Mustapha, has debunked reports linking him to a purported vice-presidential nomination by Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

In a statement on Friday, Mustapha described the social media reports as false, insisting that no discussion had taken place between him and Makinde regarding the running mate position.

“My attention has been drawn to speculations alleging that the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement is considering me as his running mate,” he said. 

“For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state categorically that no such arrangement has been discussed with me, nor have I given my consent to any such proposition.”

Mustapha emphasised that he has not held any talks with anyone in the APM concerning the vice-presidential slot and remains content with whatever position God has destined for him.
