Oyebanji urges revenue agencies to collaborate, boost Ekiti IGR

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has called for stronger collaboration among revenue-generating agencies in the state to boost internally generated revenue, block leakages and improve service delivery.

Oyebanji said effective collaboration among the agencies was critical to achieving the state’s revenue target.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yinka Oyebode, disclosed this in a statement made available in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

The governor spoke in Ado Ekiti during a mid-year review meeting with heads of revenue-generating agencies, where he reviewed their performance and assessed compliance with existing revenue policies.

Oyebanji stressed the need for all ministries, departments and agencies to work closely with the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service.

He directed the agencies to fully transition from manual revenue collection to automated processes, describing manual collection as prone to leakages and fraud.
