Itunu Onadeko, the fiancé of Tope Osoba, has claimed that the actress died at a police station in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Osoba’s death was announced on Wednesday, nearly two years after she underwent surgery for breast cancer in November 2024.
However, in the days following her passing, rumours surfaced suggesting she died from emotional distress rather than cancer, alongside allegations of domestic abuse against Onadeko.
In an interview with Celestial Reality Check, Onadeko, a lead shepherd at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Onibuore Cathedral in Ibeju-Lekki, provided his account of the events leading to her death.
He stated that Osoba had informed him of her intention to visit her aunt in Ikorodu. He said that after several unsuccessful attempts to reach her by phone, a stranger called him to report that she had died at a police station.
