Soludo approves ANSOPADEC, other projects for Ogbaru oil communities

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has approved full operation of the Anambra State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (ANSOPADEC), in accordance with the law establishing the Commission.

Governor Soludo also approved the construction of a road linking Atani to Umuezerabia, one of the oil-producing communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the State.

Charles Ofoegbu, Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, disclosed this at the weekend during a meeting with stakeholders from Ogbaru community in Awka.

The delegation was led by Victor Awogu, the traditional ruler of Ossomala community.

Ofoegbu, accompanied by Nomso Ebonwu, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, further announced plans for the establishment of a primary school and a Primary Healthcare Centre in Umuezerabia.

According to him, the procurement processes for the two projects have reached advanced stages.
