
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory in both the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election and the 2027 presidential election, citing the party’s growing strength and nationwide support base.
Yilwatda made the declaration on Thursday in Abuja while inaugurating the APC National Campaign Council for the Ekiti governorship election scheduled for June 20.
During the event, he officially presented the party’s flag to the APC governorship candidate and incumbent governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, who is seeking re-election for a second term.
The APC chairman praised Oyebanji’s performance in office, highlighting achievements in infrastructure development, social welfare programmes, scholarship initiatives and healthcare support services.
According to him, the governor has not only improved infrastructure across the state but has also earned the trust and goodwill of the people.
