Nigerian attacking midfielder Francis Onyeka is on the verge of completing a move to newly-promoted Bundesliga side SV Elversberg, as the German club look to bolster their attacking options ahead of life in the top flight, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reported that negotiations between Elversberg and Bayer Leverkusen — who hold Onyeka’s registration — are in their final stages, with all parties optimistic that an agreement will be concluded in the coming days.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at VfL Bochum in Bundesliga 2, where he delivered a series of impressive performances that caught the attention of clubs across Germany.
