
The Lagos State Government has intensified efforts to strengthen oversight of the real estate sector with an inspection of satellite offices established by the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority across key parts of the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Abdulhafis Toriola, recently led a team of management staff on an assessment tour of LASRERA’s satellite offices located in Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ikorodu, Surulere, Agege and Ojodu Local Government and Local Council Development Areas.
The inspection focused on evaluating the operational readiness, facilities and service delivery capacity of the centres, which were established to bring regulatory services closer to residents, property owners, developers and other stakeholders in the real estate sector.
Officials of the host local government councils received the delegation and praised the state’s efforts to decentralise regulatory services, describing the initiative as a step towards improving accessibility, efficiency and public engagement.
