
Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the Senate, has broken her silence on the suspension of Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, revealing that she never had access to the report that formed the basis of the disciplinary action.
Kingibe made the disclosure on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, where she addressed growing concerns surrounding the controversial suspension.
Speaking during the interview, the senator said she was not present when the report was handled and had no opportunity to review its contents before the decision was taken.
According to her, she was attending another official engagement at the time and only became aware of developments surrounding the matter while away.
“I never saw the report that led to Natasha’s suspension. I was at a retreat. I had earlier stated that I was there with three or four other senators who are members of the committee.
