
The House of Representatives Minority Leader, Fred Agbedi, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to quit if he can no longer provide leadership and security to Nigerians.
Agbedi said Tinubu’s effort in providing leadership and security for Nigerians is not good enough, hence he should quit.
The lawmaker made the remark on Channels Television’s Politics Today, while explaining why he called for Tinubu’s resignation.
He said: “When Tinubu said from Lagos that Jonathan should resign what did you say? That is the duty and beauty of democracy. The beauty of it is that if you are not able to give leadership to your nation, if your government fails, both those in the minority and those who are free citizens of the nation have the right to say you either perform or quit.
“Let me remind you that in the eight Assembly in which I was a member, right on the floor of the House of Representatives, I rose and in my contribution to a particular motion I did say that President Buhari’s government has failed and I went further to say that the lives of Nigerians is equal to one minute silent.
“So what did we say today, you either give leadership or you quit, is his best good enough?
