The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents of Mushin of safety following an explosion scare that left one person injured.
The command in a Monday statement on X disclosed that the assurance followed an on-the-spot assessment carried out by the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, following the report of the explosion.
According to the police, the visit came after a distress call in the early hours of the day alleging an explosion, which triggered the swift deployment of operatives of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal–Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Unit to the scene.
The statement read, “The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, today visited Mushin for an on-the-spot assessment following a reported IED scare.
“Following a distress call alleging an explosion in the early hours of today, operatives of the EOD-CBRN Unit were immediately deployed to the scene.
