A public dispute has broken out within the family of the late Nollywood icon John ‘Mr Ibu‘ Okafor after one of his sons accused the actor’s widow of selling off properties and excluding other children from their inheritance.
The conflict came to light after Stella Okafor, Mr Ibu’s widow, appealed for financial assistance, citing severe hardship.
In an interview with content creator King Mitchy, she disclosed that the family has been without electricity for two months due to unpaid bills and that their children have been sent home from school over outstanding fees.
Somtochukwu Okafor, identified as Mr Ibu’s third son, however, contested his stepmother’s narrative, alleging she has mismanaged the late actor’s estate.
In a viral response video, Somtochukwu accused Stella of selling multiple properties belonging to his father without consulting the other children or accounting for the proceeds.
