
President Bola Tinubu has commissioned two newly completed collector roads in Abuja’s Mabushi District, describing the projects as part of his administration’s commitment to improving transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and driving economic growth in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The newly inaugurated Collector Roads 01 and 02 link the Mabushi Bus Terminal to Ahmadu Bello Way, providing better access within the district and neighbouring parts of the capital.
Represented at the inauguration by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu said the roads would significantly improve connectivity, shorten travel time, and enhance the movement of residents and businesses.
“We are not just opening two roads. We are opening up Abuja. We are connecting people to opportunity and cutting hours of waste from daily life,” the President said.
He noted that residents had endured years of traffic gridlock and poor road access, saying the new infrastructure would transform mobility in the area.
