Atiku Reacts to Lagos Flooding, Sympathises With Victims

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed sympathy with residents affected by the recent flooding in Lagos State.

In a statement shared on his X account on Tuesday, the former vice president lamented the devastation caused by the flood, noting that it had disrupted the lives and livelihoods of many residents, including families, motorists, commuters and business owners.

He said, “I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the people of Lagos who have been affected by the ongoing flooding. My thoughts are with the families, motorists, commuters, business owners and everyone whose lives and livelihoods were disrupted by this unfortunate event.”

Atiku said the disaster highlighted the importance of unity and compassion during difficult times, urging Nigerians to support one another.
