Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has assured that the state’s new permanent National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp will be ready for the next batch of youth corps members.
He gave the assurance at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch B, Stream II youth corps members in Damare, Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa on Friday.
Represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr Edgar Amos, the governor said construction of the permanent orientation camp had reached advanced stage, expressing confidence that subsequent batches would commence their orientation at the facility.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of youth corps members, assuring them continued payment of the N30,000 monthly allowance to those serving in the state.
According to him, the state government will continue to support the NYSC scheme, recognising the contribution of members to education, healthcare, agriculture and other sectors.
