Adeleke unveils first phase of 3.5km Ila dual carriageway

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has unveiled the first phase of the 3.5-kilometre Ila-Orangun township road dualisation, saying the project will boost socio-economic development in the ancient town and its environs.In a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, and obtained in Osogbo on Friday, Adeleke described the dual carriageway as a critical infrastructure that would improve commerce, mobility and safety for residents.

The governor said the project, alongside other township roads, markets and health facilities executed by his administration, reflected the government’s commitment to spreading development across all parts of the state, particularly rural communities.

He added that the road would attract investment, ease the movement of farm produce and improve access to schools, hospitals and the palace.
