Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has sharply criticized Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of lying about an incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
In a Thursday interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Keyamo did not mince words: “That man was lying. He lies like a fish drinking water. He lies. He lies for fun.”
The controversy stems from Obi’s earlier claims of harassment at the airport linked to his political activities.
Keyamo argued that such allegations from an opposition figure require proper verification and should not be used to tarnish the reputation of airport workers.
The minister previously issued Obi a one-week ultimatum, demanding a public apology to airport staff and payment of a ₦25,000 fine for what authorities described as wrongful parking.
