Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo, says the south-east region and its five governors have resolved to support the second-term bid of President Bola Tinubu.
The chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum (SEGF) spoke on Wednesday during a meeting with the Imo State Elders Council and traditional rulers in Owerri.
The governor said since the inception of his administration, Tinubu has demonstrated unprecedented commitment to the development of the region under the Renewed Hope Agenda, with ample evidence to boot.
“The South-east has decided. Our people judge governments by performance and not by political sentiments. The evidence is on the ground,” the governor said.
“We, the five governors of the south-east, have reviewed all options and decided that we will work with President Bola Tinubu because we want to be part of the Project Nigeria.”
