A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Tolu Bankole, has expressed confidence that the party’s governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, will defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15 governorship election.
Bankole, who also serves as the APC National Leader for Persons with Disabilities and Secretary of the Subcommittee of the APC National Campaign Council for Osun, made the declaration in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.
His endorsement comes ahead of the maiden meeting of the APC’s 276-member National Campaign Council in Abuja as the ruling party intensifies efforts to reclaim Osun State from the Accord in what is widely seen as a crucial off-cycle election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC is fielding former Osun State Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, against Adeleke.
