The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a 276-member national campaign council and 12 specialised sub-committees for the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
A statement issued on Sunday by Felix Morka, APC national publicity secretary, said the campaign council is chaired by Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo state and chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe state; Godswill Akpabio, president of the senate; and Tajudeen Abbas, speaker of the house of representatives, will serve as co-chairmen.
Ibrahim Masari, senior special assistant to the president on political and other matters, was named deputy chairman, while Barau Jibrin, deputy president of the senate, will serve as secretary.
The campaign council also includes governors, ministers, principal officers of the national assembly, members of the national working committee (NWC), former governors, lawmakers and other senior party stakeholders from across the country.
