China Sledges Stronger Ties With Nigeria as CPC Marks 105th Anniversary

China has reaffirmed its dedication to deepening its longstanding partnership with Nigeria, promising enhanced collaboration in governance, economic growth, and strategic areas as the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrates its 105th anniversary. 

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, highlighted the CPC’s pivotal role in transforming China into the world’s second-largest economy and a key driver of global growth. The CPC, founded in 1921, has led China through significant achievements in revolution, reform, and development, fostering national rejuvenation and improving living standards for its people. 

The ambassador noted that under CPC leadership, China has pursued a modernisation path tailored to its unique national conditions rather than imitating Western models. This approach has provided valuable development options for other developing nations seeking independent progress. 

He outlined four key pillars of China’s success: independence and self-reliance, a people-centred development philosophy, continuous self-reform, and theoretical innovation.
