Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has identified corruption as the root of Nigeria’s persistent economic and security problems, insisting the country cannot overcome insecurity and poverty without transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service.
Adebayo made the remarks while addressing the Arewa Awareness Summit on Unity Against Insecurity in Kaduna State.
He urged political leaders to embrace responsible governance and pursue practical solutions to the nation’s socio-economic and security challenges.
His comments were contained in a statement issued by his media aide, Ade Alabi.According to Adebayo, Nigeria’s problems can be resolved through effective leadership and good governance.
He maintained that corruption remains one of the greatest obstacles to national development, adding that no policy or institutional reform can succeed unless it is grounded in transparency, accountability, and integrity.
