The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled July 7 for the hearing of all pending applications and the substantive suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The suit seeks to compel INEC to recognise the Kabir Turaki-led interim National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP.
Justice Salim Ibrahim fixed the date on Tuesday after directing all parties to file and exchange processes by July 6, warning that no further delays would be tolerated.
The plaintiffs, including Wabara, former Niger State Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, Prof. Jerry Gana, Chief Olabode George, and others argue that INEC is constitutionally bound to recognise the interim leadership following appellate court judgments that invalidated the PDP’s November 2025 national convention and upheld the suspension of key party officials.
