Dangote sets sights on Egypt for industrial expansion

Dangote Group is exploring opportunities to expand its industrial investments into Egypt, a move that could mark a significant milestone in its pan-African growth strategy and deepen economic ties between Africa’s two largest economies.

The development follows a visit by a high-level Egyptian delegation led by the country’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohamed Saleh, to the Dangote Industries complex in Lagos. The delegation engaged with senior executives of the Dangote Group to identify areas for industrial collaboration, investment partnerships, and capacity expansion across key sectors.

Accompanied by officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and senior executives from the country’s oil and petrochemical industry, the delegation explored opportunities for Nigerian and Egyptian businesses to establish mutually beneficial ventures, leveraging the strengths of both economies.

The visit underscores growing interest in extending Nigeria’s industrial expertise across the continent, with Egypt emerging as a potential destination for future Dangote investments
