Defence Ministry Breaks Silence on Minister Christopher Musa’s ‘Resignation’

The Ministry of Defence has denied reports claiming that the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd), has resigned or attempted to resign from the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The ministry described the reports, which circulated widely on social media, as false and misleading, insisting that the minister remains fully in office and continues to carry out his responsibilities.

In a statement released on Monday, the Minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, dismissed the claim and urged Nigerians to ignore the publication.

According to her, there was no truth in the reports suggesting that Musa had submitted a resignation letter or was planning to leave his position in the Federal Executive Council.

“We wish to state unequivocally and in the strongest possible terms that these rumours are absolute falsehoods borne out of complete mischief,” she said.
