Delta State Government has ordered security agencies to “track down and prosecute” those allegedly responsible for the brutal attack on one Simon Mudi alias Temple, a protocol aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, during last Sunday’s Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ meeting held at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
The State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this in a signed statement issued on Tuesday, copies of which were made available to newsmen in Warri on Wednesday.
The state government described the attack as “unacceptable and a threat to public peace”.
Aniagwu stated that the State government was “disturbed by videos of the incident circulating on social media, particularly the brutal assault on one Simon Mudi alias Temple, who is a protocol aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori”.
