Fresh details have emerged from the meeting of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with discussions largely centered on the party’s recent electoral performance and preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held in Abuja and concluded in the early hours of Tuesday, brought together governors under the umbrella of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), a body comprising all serving APC governors across the country.

Speaking after the meeting, Chairman of the forum and Governor of Hope Uzodimma, said the governors carried out a broad review of the party’s activities in recent months, including outcomes of primary elections conducted in different parts of the country.

According to him, the forum also assessed the party’s performance in the recent governorship election in Ekiti and several by-elections where the ruling party recorded strong results.

Uzodimma said the governors agreed on the need for closer engagement with the party’s national leadership
