Coach Lara Kudayisi, the wife of Teddy Don-Momoh, has died barely two weeks after welcoming their first child together.
The sad news was announced by her family in a statement shared on her official Instagram page.
According to the statement, Lara died peacefully after a brief illness.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh,” the family said.
“After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully.”
The family appealed for privacy as they mourned her passing, while requesting prayers for the repose of her soul and strength to cope with the loss.
“During this deeply painful time, we humbly ask for privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul, and for all who mourn this immeasurable loss,” the statement added.
The family also disclosed that details of her funeral arrangements would be communicated
