Mamman Bitrus Giwa, Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, has been honoured as the 2025 Best Crime-Busting Police Chief in West Africa, while Daniel Ndukwe, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), received the Best Police Public Relations Officer in Nigeria award.
The awards were presented by the Security Watch Africa Initiative at the Enugu State Police Command Headquarters in Enugu.
Presenting the awards, Patrick Agbambu, the International Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the Initiative, said CP Giwa and SP Ndukwe were selected following a review of their policing records, professional achievements and contributions to security and public relations in Enugu State.
Agbambu commended CP Giwa for his proactive approach to crime prevention and combating criminal activities, urging him to sustain the tempo in the fight against crime.
