Former Tottenham Hotspur, midfielder Jamie O’Hara, has said that Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland will encounter minimal competition as he aims for a record-equalling fourth Premier League Golden Boot.
Since his arrival in the English top division four summers ago from Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has consistently scored goals. In his debut season, the Norwegian netted a remarkable 36 goals, contributing to City’s first continental treble.
The following season, Haaland secured another Golden Boot and Premier League title by scoring 27 goals, as Pep Guardiola’s team achieved an unprecedented fourth consecutive league title and their sixth title in seven years.
However, Manchester City’s dominance in the league was interrupted by Liverpool in 2025, which also halted Haaland’s pursuit of a third consecutive Golden Boot.
Although City again fell short of the league title during Guardiola’s 10th and final season at the Etihad, Haaland scored 27 goals, earning his third Golden Boot
